Who We Help

We Help Primary Care Providers

Providers IconHealthPOINT is a federally recognized Regional Extension Center – one of 62 across the United States.  Our  services are available to all providers, however there is priority given to providers in primary care – those in individual and small group practices, Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs), Rural Health Clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other settings that serve uninsured, underinsured and medically underserved populations.

We Help Specialists

Specialist IconA very common question we are asked is if we assist specialists – and the answer is yes.  In addition to primary care, we recognize the need for assistance in specialty practices in light of how recent the topic of EHR is to this country and its future in healthcare.  Regardless of the practice, workflow redesigns, technical assistance and other basic services are at the core of what’s needed in medicine.  When primary care providers refer to specialists, that need to exchange health information will radically transform the flow of information between providers and assist the patient as well.

We Help Behavioral Health

Behavioral Health IconBehavioral health agencies are another area in medicine that extends beyond the primary care circle.  Knowing past prescriptions and medical history are a few of the vital items needed and where EHRs will be of great assistance to behavioral practices.  Like specialty practices, behavioral health is yet another area that will greatly benefit from EHRs and their ability to reduce costs, fight redundant processes and increase patient safety.
